Cervical Cancer Elimination Day of Action 2024
Cervical cancer remains a leading cause of cancer-related death among women in sub-Saharan Africa and women living with HIV are six times more likely to develop cervical cancer. On the upcoming Cervical Cancer Elimination Day of Action, we recognise the essential role of frontline health workers in cervical cancer prevention in sub-Saharan Africa. Swiss TPH and partners have developed the Cervical Cancer Prevention and Care Cascade to enhance screening and treatment, particularly for women living with HIV.
