Research Infrastructure
At Swiss TPH, our state-of-the-art research infrastructure supports transformative advances in global health. Our arthropod facility fosters innovation in vector biology and behaviour, enabling the control of diseases such as malaria and dengue fever. In our BSL-3 laboratories, we are driving breakthroughs in drug resistance, diagnostics and drug development for tuberculosis, Chagas disease and Buruli ulcer. By studying real pathogens and culturing parasite life cycles, we are improving understanding of host-pathogen interactions and accelerating the discovery of diagnostics, treatments and vaccines. Our biobanks with more than one million samples support longitudinal studies and exposome science. This is complemented by our clinical platform in Tanzania, which bridges research and application, and our role in hosting three WHO Collaborating Centres that shape global health policy. By combining these modern facilities with our expertise, Swiss TPH is at the forefront of global health innovation.
