Dr. Billy Bauzile is a versatile disease modeler interested in quantitative analysis to understand disease transmission determinants and interventions that limit disease burden. He holds a PhD in Epidemiology focusing on applied mathematical models to Public Health. Billy has over five years of experience in the mathematical modeling of human and animal diseases.
In the Analytics and Intervention Modelling Group at the Swiss Tropical and Public Health Institute (Swiss TPH), he works on country-specific modeling with stakeholders in different countries to provide evidence-based insights to support malaria intervention campaigns, the elaboration of national plans for funding requests, and assess intervention impact that can lead to the elimination of malaria or burden reduction in the country. He also supports the teams in diverse activities, including teaching malaria modeling courses and map visualization.
