Damien Revault

Damien Revault, a project manager and expert in health financing and health insurance graduated from the National Insurance School in France (Msc. Insurance Management), and holds 25 years of experience in international development in both Europe and Sub-Saharan Africa. He has a solid expertise in health financing and has gained this through a wide range of experiences in program management and consulting in health financing policies in the social sectors, and universal health coverage strategies, including the design and implementation of tools and procedures for the collection and management of health studies, socio-economic data management and public expenditure review. He actively contributes to the marketing and further evolution of the open source software for the management of insurance schemes, openIMIS, within various Swiss TPH mandates (Chad, Democratic Republic of Congo, Cameroon, Mauritania, Comoros, etc.)

He is currently leading three major public health development projects in West and Central Africa, and has conducted various studies and evaluations related to Health financing and Universal Health Coverage in Sub-Saharan Africa, in partnership with various international organizations and donors. Before joining Swiss TPH, Damien acted as an independent consultant and as such, he gained knowledge and became familiar with the dynamics of the private sector in fragile states in Africa.
