IHS - Integrated Health Services in Kosovo, Inception Phase
Project Abstract
The goal of IHS is to contribute to the development of a sustainable healthcare system in Kosovo that offers qualitative, affordable and integrated care to patients with Non-Communicable Disease conditions.
The project aims to strengthen governance, clinical and managerial processes in selected General Hospitals and support the referral and coordination mechanism between Primary Health Care and Secondary Health Care.
At national level, IHS will support the development and implementation of conducive integrated health policy frameworks by contributing to the implementation of the health sector reform to enhances the sustainability of the health system.
More specifically, IHS project will contribute to the following three outcomes:
1. Improve the availability and accessibility of quality health services in selected two General Hospitals,
2. Coordinate action across levels towards integrated health services to improve the health status of patients with NCD conditions,
3. Support policy frameworks at national level on patient centred integrated care.
