MMC elimination costing
Project Abstract
The project will generate evidence on the trade-offs between cost and effectiveness of malaria elimination interventions. This includes surveillance and a range of targeted and focal malaria elimination interventions when added incrementally to current levels of routine malaria control and case management. We will produce (1) a generic costing model developed based on data collected by current malaria elimination trials, (2) estimates of costs, effectiveness, and cost-effectiveness of malaria elimination interventions and strategies for a number of policy relevant scenarios simulated with a simulation model of malaria dyanamics (OpenMalaria), (3) synthesis of costing and modeling estimatesfor resource allocation decisions by stakeholders.
