Osama Seidahmed

Dr. Seidahmed is a key team player, actively contributing in the global efforts of the Swiss TPH to control vector-borne diseases.

With a Ph.D. in Civil and Environmental Engineering from MIT, Osama brings over 15 years of work on vector-borne diseases across Africa, the Americas and Asia-Pacific region. His work includes diverse operational outcomes in the battle against diseases such as malaria, dengue, Chikungunya, and Rift Valley fever. He also contributed to the teaching at a college level and capacity building of field teams.

Currently, Dr. Seidahmed is focusing on designing and tailoring health interventions that suit diverse eco-social environments and have more sustainable impact. He uses related data analytics to assess existing and new interventions.
